Proagriwax™ Reflex

Proagriwax™ Reflex is based on a wax composition similar to our reference product. In addition this wax contains a white pigment. The function of this pigment is to reflect sunlight in order to reduce the heat stress to the plant. Our observations have shown that the wax layer on the plant creates a "greenhouse effect". Measurements show that the temperature of the callus of a waxed plant can be as much as 10 °C higher compared to a unwaxed plant. By reflection of sunlight the white Proagriwax Reflex reduce this temperature increase by up to 80 %

How To Use:
The wax should be melted and kept in a temperature controlled melting pot between 80-83 degrees. It is important to avoid higher temperatures as this might damage the plant. Wax is applied by dipping the plant in to the melted wax. This should be done in a rapid movement so that the plant is submerged in the warm wax for a minimal amount of time, approximately 0,5 second. The plant material, both the rootstock and scion, should be cold and moist when the wax is applied. The plant should be submerged in cold water for 4-5 seconds directly after dipping.

The pigment tends to fall to the bottom of the melting pot, we recommend a stirring pump / frequent manual stirring to obtain a good homogeneity.
